Entropie has been awarded a contract by China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) for the supply of a desalination plant with a total capacity of 5362 m3/d. The final destination of the plant is Venezuela for the Corporación Eléctrica Nacional (Corpoelec) Planta Centro based in Moron. The desalination plant is anticipated to be delivered and completed by early of 2015. The scope of supply includes engineering, fabrication and delivery of two Multiple Effect Distillation (MED) units 2 681 m3/d each and one potabilisation unit of 2 500 m3/d.
The desalination units shall consist of six evaporation cells operating in Multiple Effect Distillation (MED) process with thermocompressor (TVC).
