Entropie has been awarded a contract by BUROTEC for the supply of a desalination plant with a total capacity of 1440 m3/d. The final destination of the plant is Lebanon for the Zouk Thermoelectric power plant. The desalination plant is anticipated to be delivered and completed by early of 2017.
The scope of supply includes engineering, fabrication, FOB delivery of one Multiple Effect with vapour compression unit with a capacity of 1 440 m3/d. The scope also include interconnection to the existing installation. Entropie will also supervise the installation and start-up of the desalination plant.
The desalination technology used is Multiple Effect Distillation (MED-TVC). The unit has been designed with two evaporation cells and one thermocompressor.
