Entropie has been awarded a contract by the Joint Venture of CB&I and CTCI (CCJV) for the supply of a desalination plant with a total capacity of 8880 m3/d. The final destination of the plant is Oman for the petrochemical Liwa Plastics Industries Complex. The desalination plant is anticipated to be delivered and completed by early of 2018.
The scope of supply includes engineering, fabrication and delivery of two Multiple Effect Distillation with vapour thercompression units with a capacity of 4440 m3/d each. Entropie will also supervise the installation and start-up of the desalination plant.
The desalination technology used is Multiple Effect Distillation (MED-TVC).
